Adventures in the Louvre Museum
In this unforgettable week, campers will be transported to the Louvre, the world’s largest art museum! Using language immersion, campers will be exposed to French while learning about some of the most popular artworks on exhibit, including the Mona Lisa and Winged Victory.
Make Your Masterpiece – Campers will hone their creativity and imagination to create their own masterpiece. They’ll be exposed to vocabulary in French to describe it– including colors and shapes. Campers will be encouraged to be as artistic and expressive as possible!
French Foodies – Campers may think of ‘french fries’ or ‘french toast’ when they think about French food, but this week, they’ll dig deeper into French cuisine. They’ll realize croissants, macaroons, and crème brûlée come from France and learn vocabulary describing these yummy sweet treats.
Linguist Apprentices (Ages 3-5) – Through music and play, campers will develop their conversational skills in a second language. Children will engage in arts and crafts and hands-on projects while learning another language.
Language Ambassadors (Ages 6-10) – Campers will participate in project-based learning activities that will help them connect the foreign language to meaning, providing them the opportunity to develop their conversational skills while learning about fun and interesting topics.
