Mysteries of Machu Picchu – In the midst of a tropical forest in the Peruvian Andes Mountains, Machu Picchu was built in the 15th and 16th centuries. It is often referred to as the “Lost City of the Incas” — but is it? Campers will learn all about this ancient wonder, and the special Temple of the Sun.
Legends of the Pyramid of the Sun – There are legends and folklore surrounding the Pyramid of the Sun and its origin. This breathtaking Mexican temple was constructed in two phases – making it one of the largest pyramids in the world! Children will learn a new language while exploring this archeological wonder.
Secrets of the Aztec Calendar – The Aztecs were fierce warriors who used a special calendar that tracked the days, centuries, the sun movement, and even unlucky days of the year! Campers will learn Spanish while discovering the two calendars used by the ancient civilization in this interactive week-long camp.
Linguist Apprentices (Ages 3-5) – Through music and play, campers will develop their conversational skills in a second language. Children will engage in arts and crafts and hands-on projects while learning another language.
Language Ambassadors (Ages 6-10) – Campers will participate in project-based learning activities that will help them connect the foreign language to meaning, providing them the opportunity to develop their conversational skills while learning about fun and interesting topics.
