Tutoring Service.  Language Kids World will provide individual tutoring services as detailed below.

Chaperone. A parent or guardian (at least 21 years of age) must be present in the home during the entire tutoring session. If tutoring is conducted at a school, library, or community center, sessions must take place in open, public areas.

Transportation. Tutors will not transport students and/or parents.

Session Cancellation.  It is the parent’s or guardian’s responsibility to give Language Kids World a 24-hour notice if a scheduled session must be canceled or rescheduled. Sessions canceled with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged in full. Repeated missed sessions (3) may result in suspension of services. Canceling or rescheduling sessions must be done in writing at info@languagekids.com.

Tardiness/Missed Sessions.   The tutor will wait at the tutoring location or in the Zoom chatroom for 15 minutes for the parent/guardian and student. Missed sessions will be charged in full.

Conferences.  Per the parent’s or guardian’s request, the Tutor will review lessons and progress with parents/guardians as part of a session, and during the session’s time.

Session Reports.  For in-person tutoring services, parents/guardians must sign the session report provided by the tutor after each session.

Participants. A maximum of 3 siblings may participate in a tutoring session together. Contact Language Kids World if more than one family would like to form a group.

Minimum Session Length. The minimum length for in-person sessions is one hour. The minimum length for online sessions is thirty minutes.

Fees. The tutoring service fees for the 2024-2025 period are the following:

• In-person tutoring services hourly fee: $60
• Online tutoring services hourly fee: $55

Virtual Sessions. Virtual tutoring sessions are offered via Zoom and scheduled in Central Standard Time. To learn about Zoom’s terms of service click here: https://explore.zoom.us/en/terms/

In-Person Sessions. In-person sessions can only be scheduled in the Houston metro area and surrounding cities. Please contact us to confirm availability before purchasing tutoring session hours.

Payment for tutoring sessions must be made in advance. The parent or guardian may choose to have the payment for the tutoring sessions automatically processed when running out of tutoring hours. If there are no tutoring hours left in the parent or guardian account, and the parent or guardian fails to make a payment and has not requested automatic payments, the tutoring service will be suspended until payment is made.

Termination of Services. This agreement may be terminated by either party with a minimum of a 24-hour notice.
