Welcome to “Rhythms of the Dragon: Exploring Chinese Music” – A Mandarin Chinese Immersion Camp for Young Musicians and Cultural Explorers!

Embark on a musical journey with our “Rhythms of the Dragon” camp, a unique thematic unit designed for children who are passionate about music and keen to explore new languages and cultures. This camp offers an extraordinary fusion of musical discovery, Mandarin Chinese language immersion, and an exploration of Chinese culture and history. Discovering Chinese Music and Instruments: Each day, our young musicians will explore different aspects of Chinese music, learning about traditional instruments like the erhu (Chinese violin), pipa (Chinese lute), and guzheng (Chinese zither). They’ll discover the unique sounds these instruments produce and the role they play in Chinese cultural heritage.

Mandarin Chinese Immersion Through Music: As campers engage with Chinese music, they will also be introduced to and practice Mandarin Chinese.
