Animals in the Winter
Children love learning about animals! Campers will learn about their favorite animals and how they adapt to survive in the winter.
This thematic unit has been designed to teach children another language with fun and hands-on activities, as they learn about animal behavior in the wintertime. Campers will learn about hibernation and the migration of different animals, such as bats, bears, monarch butterflies, frogs, snakes, turtles, deer, foxes, and many more.
Linguist Apprentices (Ages 3-5) – Through music and play, campers will develop their conversational skills in a second language. Children will engage in arts and crafts and hands-on projects while learning another language.
Language Ambassadors (Ages 6-10) – Campers will participate in project-based learning activities that will help them connect the foreign language to meaning, providing them the opportunity to develop their conversational skills while learning about fun and interesting topics.
