Around the Great Wall of China
The Great Wall is one of the grandest architectural feats in the world! This week, Campers will visit the Wall, and be exposed to Mandarin immersion to learn why it was built, and the vast history around it.
Structures and Skyscrapers – Campers will learn about sky-high buildings in China using fun, hands-on, STEM project-based learning, while being exposed to new vocabulary in Mandarin.
Wildlife in China – Pandas! Chow Chows, and Chinese Alligators! Campers will learn all about different animals that are native to China, and how they are similar or different to animals here, in the United States– all while learning a new language.
Linguist Apprentices (Ages 3-5) – Through music and play, campers will develop their conversational skills in a second language. Children will engage in arts and crafts and hands-on projects while learning another language.
Language Ambassadors (Ages 6-10) – Campers will participate in project-based learning activities that will help them connect the foreign language to meaning, providing them the opportunity to develop their conversational skills while learning about fun and interesting topics.
