Pack your bags! Campers will take a trip through time to learn all about the Emperors who ruled China, who used a dragon as a symbol of their power. Dragons are an important part of Chinese mythology, and they symbolize power, strength, and good luck.
Campers will learn about the Qin dynasty and Shihuangdi, the first emperor of China who began the construction of the Great Wall, the Han dynasty that promoted the use of the Silk Road to trade silk and spices, the Tang and Song dynasties under which important inventions were made, such as the compass and gun powder, and the Ming dynasty under which the Forbidden City was built and Beijing was established as the capital of China.
Campers will learn all about the Dragon Dance and make their very own dragon to use as a puppet for our camp Dragon Dance.
