Welcome to “Travel Bloggers” – An English Language Immersion Camp for Young Adventurers!

Embark on a virtual globetrotting adventure with our “Travel Bloggers” camp, a thematic unit creatively designed for children who love exploring and sharing their experiences. This camp offers a unique blend of travel exploration and English language immersion, enabling campers to ‘visit’ various English-speaking countries, explore their historical landmarks and cultural attractions, and express their adventures through imaginative travel blogs and diaries, all while having fun, learning English, and forging new friendships.

Exploration of English-Speaking Countries: Each day, our young travelers will embark on a virtual journey to a different English-speaking country. They’ll explore the bustling streets of New York City to see the Statue of Liberty, the historic lanes of London near Big Ben, and the breathtaking views from Table Mountain in South Africa.

English Language Immersion Through Virtual Travel: As campers ‘travel’ to these destinations, they will be immersed in English language learning. Our activities are designed to encourage storytelling, creative writing, and journaling in English. Campers will create their own travel blogs, vlogs or diaries (if they are writing already), detailing their experiences, observations, and learnings from each virtual destination.

Interactive and Educational Activities: “Travel Bloggers” is filled with engaging and educational activities. Campers might participate in virtual tours, create postcards and travel scrapbooks, or engage in role-play exercises as travel show hosts. These activities not only enhance their travel writing skills but also provide fun and engaging ways to practice English.

Learning About Culture, History, and Geography: In addition to language skills, campers will learn about the culture, history, and geography of the places they ‘visit’. They’ll explore famous landmarks, local customs, traditional foods, and key historical facts of each country.

Developing Conversational Skills and Global Awareness: Our camp aims to develop campers’ conversational English skills and global awareness. They’ll engage in discussions and presentations, sharing their travel experiences with peers, which encourages public speaking skills and cultural appreciation.
