Regular Immersion Session

Thematic Unit: Crazy Science – Campers will learn another language as they explore basic chemical reactions with some wacky and fun experiments!  Campers will mix ingredients to create exploding volcanoes, learn how to make crystals and even turn copper pennies green!

Linguist Apprentices (Ages 3-5) Through music and play, campers will develop their conversational skills in a second language. Children will engage in arts and crafts and hands-on projects while learning another language.

Language Ambassadors (Ages 6-10) Campers will participate in project-based learning activities that will help them connect the foreign language they are learning to meaning, providing them the opportunity to develop their conversational skills while learning about fun and interesting topics.

Early Immersion Session

(Optional session – available only at some locations)

Supplemental thematic unit: Morning Metamorphosis – In this fun-filled session, Language Kids World campers will learn all about “metamorphosis” and the process of transformation! Campers will discover the changes a caterpillar makes to become a butterfly, as well as tadpoles to frogs—all while learning a new language!

Linguist Apprentices (Ages 3-5) Campers will work on phonetic skills development in small groups, using rhymes and rhythm to further develop their conversational skills.

Language Ambassadors (Ages 6-10)Campers will use this time to work in small groups to develop reading and writing skills in the target language and practice their conversational skills by talking about the stories they are reading and writing in the second language.

Afternoon Immersion Session

(Optional session – available only at some locations)

Supplemental thematic unit: – Life Cycle of a Plant– Campers will learn all about the life cycles of a plant, how pollen helps seeds grow, and how some plants can produce fruits. Language Kids World campers will learn another language while enjoying science.

Linguist Apprentices (Ages 3-5) Campers will work on phonetic skills development in small groups, using rhymes and rhythm to further develop their conversational skills.

Language Ambassadors (Ages 6-10)Campers will use this time to work in small groups to develop reading and writing skills in the target language and practice their conversational skills by talking about the stories they are reading and writing in the second language.
